Synth is a UK-based solar climate tech startup operating at the intersection of technology and operations. Founded at the start of 2024, Synth has already completed over 20 residential and commercial installations, has revenue to date of over £200,000 and is profitable.
Founded by ex-Uber General Managers Tom Elvidge and Max Lines, who after a decade in tech and climate startups were passionate about launching a business to support the Net Zero transition, Synth provides full-service solar design, installation and monitoring, whilst concurrently developing and providing the technology to radically reduce the time and cost associated with the end-to-end process.
Synth supports residential and commercial clients through the complete journey, from initial solar design, through equipment selection, installation and commissioning, system performance monitoring and ongoing support.
We have a firm belief in technology as a critical enabler, and are building proprietary tools to improve customer experience, and radically streamline operations. Within the first four months we launched Synth’s SunMapper tool, reducing the time to receive a solar estimate from days to seconds. This is a UK first in the solar industry - and we are just getting started.
This is just the beginning, we have incredibly high ambitions for Synth and are on a mission to become a UK market leader in renewable energy. Furthermore, we believe that with a clear vision and first-class execution, there will be many more opportunities for us along the way.
We are seeking a Founding Operations Manager. This is the first employee at Synth after the co-founders, and consequently one of the most important hires we will ever make.
We are looking for someone who is excited at the opportunity to build a business virtually from day one, and who is looking to grow with a tech and operations company as it scales rapidly.
This will be an ‘all-hands-on-deck’ role. Responsibilities will change rapidly as the business grows and evolves. Whilst the role will begin with Operations, it will involve building technology, evolving our product, sales, marketing, customer support, and more. You will be involved in every aspect of the business, with no task too big or too small. The impact on the business over the long-term is genuinely unlimited.
The role will be managing the operations of Synth, including design, procurement and delivery of solar systems for Synth customers.
You will be fundamental to the experience of our customers, installers, suppliers and partners, and will be obsessed with ensuring their experiences is as great as it can possibly be.
